1. Acceptance and eligibility

By using Backr, you agree to these Terms and the Community Guidelines. Backr is intended for adults aged 18 or older. Verify that registration and age safeguards match this policy before public launch.

2. What Backr provides

Backr is a social platform for sharing startup concepts, requesting feedback, and connecting with founders. Backr does not broker investments, provide legal or financial advice, verify startup claims, or guarantee collaborators, funding, commercial success, or confidentiality.

3. Your account

You are responsible for accurate account information, access credentials, and activity under your account. Do not impersonate others, share accounts deceptively, or attempt to bypass security or access restrictions.

4. Your ideas and ownership

As between you and Backr, you retain whatever rights you have in content and intellectual property you submit. By uploading or publishing content, you grant Backr a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and technically process it solely to operate, maintain, and promote the service as reasonably connected to the use of Backr; this license ends when content is removed except as needed for lawful retention, backups, or prior sharing. You must have the right to share everything you upload.

Publishing an idea does not itself create exclusive ownership of that idea. Do not publish trade secrets, confidential invention details, or third-party confidential information. Private drafts restrict app access but are not a guarantee against all unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss.

5. Public content and collaboration

People may read, copy, discuss, photograph, screenshot, or independently develop similar concepts based on your public content. Backr does not promise that another user will keep information confidential. Use separate written agreements, including confidentiality agreements when appropriate, before exchanging sensitive information or agreeing on ownership, compensation, or equity.

6. Acceptable use

Follow the Community Guidelines. No harassment, fraud, phishing, spam, impersonation, unauthorized sharing of private content, illegal material, malicious code, or efforts to access other people's messages or drafts. Investment solicitations and securities transactions are not supported on Backr.

7. Moderation

Backr may review reports, restrict access, or remove content or accounts that violate these rules. Moderation may be imperfect, and users remain responsible for what they post. Report suspected abuse using in-app tools.

8. Service changes and termination

Features may change or be unavailable. Users can request account deletion through Settings. Backr may suspend or terminate accounts for serious misuse or security risk, subject to applicable law.

9. Disclaimers and liability

Backr is provided on an "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, protection of ideas, business outcomes, or the accuracy of user content. Appropriate limitation-of-liability, dispute-resolution, governing-law, and consumer-rights clauses require legal review before final use.
